How it started 

My 10-year-old German Shorthair Pointer, Harley is my heart dog. He sleeps in bed under the covers with his head on my pillow almost every night. The thought of him staying in a kennel, broke my heart. Sadie, my 4-year-old blue heeler, would not do well in a large group of dogs or with a concrete wall more hours out of the day then none. 

      I wanted to give people the choice of a kennel-free SAFE space for their pup to stay. Stress-free home atmosphere dog boarding, with a small number of dogs at one time. 

    Since 2015, I am self-employed as an Equine Dental technician (aka Horse Dentist). Beginning in 2019, I have been on Rover.com for dog sitting. In 2022, I started my own business outside of Rover. With the start of 2023, I opened Hearts for Hounds - dog boarding, dog sitting and more! I am fully insured and bonded.

I created the Happy Hound Box, full of all the products that my pups and I love. Be sure to grab one today!

       My days get rearranged to the needs of the dogs. I take a small number of pups daily to ensure the quality, care and time spent with each hound is superb. 

     "Difficult" Dogs are my specialty, not dog friendly? that's okay, I take special measures and precautions to make sure their stay with me is just as fun as ones who can run with the pack.

      High maintenance, senior, energetic, puppy, 10 pounds or 110 pounds? I care for them all!
